BLACK BEAST return to survey the carnage with second album Arctic Darkness. A simple-yetelegant title, Arctic Darkness is the sound of BLACK BEAST maximizing that atmosphere. The Motorcharge is most definitely still there, as is the almost-sexual surge suggestive of classic Impaled Nazarene - grandfathers of both Finnish black metal AND bringing back the Motorhead influence into black metal at large - but with a subtly ubliminal glaze of synths and a wider variation of tempos and general songcraft, the now-quartet march into new realms across this Arctic Darkness (bassist Xilobye joined the band prior to the album); just witness the utterly EPIC ten-minute closer, "Hymn of the Freezing Wind," where clean 'n' chorused guitars play counterpoint to a sleazy four-on-the-floor beat...truly, this landscape is a much more brazen one.

Conceived in late 2002 as a soundtrack for one of the most sinister, dark, brutal and morbid periods of European history, the Dark Ages. Diving deep into Medieval works on witchcraft, demonology and theology, as well as the works of modern authors exploring all the aspects of that epoch, Roman Saenko (of Drudkh and Hate Forest) wanted to explore all shades of the Middle Ages. Bringing forth images, details and landscapes of that era into the modern world using a minimalistic yet very poignant pallet of sounds.
The Finnish industrial metal band Diablerie will release an upgraded version of their Transition EP titled Transition 2.0 through Primitive Reaction. The album is released globally in as a CD as well as digital downloads and streaming. The album is partially recorded, mixed and mastered again. The cover artwork has also been updated. #### Guitarist Kimmo Tukiainen explains: Transition was awesome, but was released only in small scale so that the most dedicated fans could hear what our new sound is like. We were really stoked about how good it ended up being so we decided to release it in a bigger scale. Naturally we had to give the album the treatement it deserved. Transition 2.0 has all the loose ends fixed and in my opinion sounds even more energetic and heavy than the original. #### Diablerie is hitting the studio in early spring 2014 for recording a full length album scheduled for summer 2014.

Goats of Doom are releasing their fourth full-length only a ripe year after the previous one. After debuting with 2011’s Deathcult ov Doomgoat -split, only two years have passed without new music. As is wont, not everything they’ve put out is great but said split is a very promising starting point. It’s vivacious riffs and melodic understanding immediately put them apart from many of their peers, while the carefully used keyboards, acoustic segments and oriental vibes that were used to spice up an occasion or two, gave it a more colourful facade and wider pen to play in.
This is a very unique black metal album. Hämys take the punky Finnish style to its logical extreme and create something that really straddles the line between rock and black metal. The catchy punky riffs blend seamlessly with intense (although less distorted than usual) black metal melodicism. This is mixed in with clean atmospheric passages on tracks like "Alkemia" as well as clean chorus vocals on tracks like "Kun Minä Kuolen" (one of the catchier black metal tracks I've heard). In addition to these elements, there's also a classically Finnish folky style that comes out on tracks like "Unieni Takaa," "Kuilu," and brings to mind bands like Häive and Wyrd.

It was but the autumn of 2019 when MALIGNAMENT burst from the void with a shockingly developed debut demo.
