Voices From the Void represents the debut material from Chilean artist Astral Root and features a doom ridden brand of melancholy. With lengthy tracks displaying a variety of paces, the work is meant to be taken in its entirety as a complete opus. Alternating rises and falls take the listener on a journey which is both sombre and pensive and, in the end, leaves a feeling of hollowness behind.
The latest project from the prolific multi-instrumentalist Troy (FATELANCER, AUTUMN GRAVE, PATH OF DAMNATION, ETC.) is called ATLANTEAN SORROW, and it is a very interesting one to say the least…Firmly rooted in an early 90's Atmospheric Black Death Thrash sound, that has become a trademark for most of Troy's recordings. There is rich sampling of computer and laser sounds combined with synth textures and guitar leads, creating a futuristic soundscape that compliments the traditional song structures of the early days of Metal. Dusted with occasional trance breaks and haunting melodies that might be found somewhere in an intergalactic discotheque…
The new album, titled "2020", is a forlorn journey of doomed experimental research missions to dystopian planets inhabited by extraterrestrial lifeforms, mutated humans, cyborgs, and the occasional mad scientist. It is a unique vision inspired by 80's sci-fi horror and the cold war space race of that era. 40 minutes of music in six songs.
Recommended for fans of (old) THE GATHERING, PHLEBOTOMIZED, RUSH, DAN SWANO/PAN.THY.MONIUM, VANGELIS, CARBONIZED, and HAWKWIND. Support a real underground band, don't just listen to this stuff on your cell phone like a nerd.

Never Human Again is a conceptual album with 8 tracks. The story begins years after the Atomic Freaks album events. The world is devastated by conflicts and bombardments of the past. There are three groups of survivors: those who seek the end of everything worshiping an atomic bomb as a god, awaiting great explosion day; those who gave up everything are waiting for the end, buried alive in their on graves; and finally, there are those who didn't give up on surviving, hidden inside iron shelters across the ghost cities. These will be hunted with no mercy!

Released in a Limited 3-panel-digipak, with a MPEG VIDEO included.
The Lords of Thunder are back! New Jersey's own power/traditional heavy metal act ATTACKER strikes with their 5th album. What we have here is classic guitar work with true '80s feel, mighty galloping riffs, powerhouse drumming, thunderous bass, and last but not least: the bloody impressive vocal performance by the new singer, Bobby Lucas (ex-SEVEN WITCHES, OVERLORDE), straight from the Dickinson and Rivera school. All this goodness is rounded up with a well-balanced mix and production that steers away from the modern digital sound plaguing even some traditional metal albums. Musically talking, besides the two aforementioned bands, their music is closest to HELSTAR, LIEGE LORD, DESTINY'S END, VICIOUS RUMORS, JAG PANZER and obviously IRON MAIDEN. ATTACKER is a force to be reckoned with - although they celebrate their 30th anniversary, they kick more ass than most young bands today! South American Official License version / Import.
Tremendous traditional US power metal drawing on influences ranging from Iron Maiden (circa Piece of Mind/Powerslave), Judas Priest (Defenders/Painkiller) to Accept (Restless/Balls) and Mercyful Fate (Don't Break...). Comparable to early Metal Church (s/t, The Dark), Attacker's The Unknown features the band's best production ever, plus perhaps their most powerful selection of songs. From the storming Priest-like opener "This Is Power" to the guitar wizardy of "The Unknown" to the crunching doom power of "Devil's War", Attacker combine the classy twin lead guitar team of Benetatos and Marinelli, the double bass drumming of Sabatini, the return of original bass player Ciarlo and the distinct pipes of singer Mitchell into a potent power metal force.
