“...or Sonic Compendium of the Black Arts”, the 2nd full length from this Polish BM horde. Lim. Ed. Digipak reissue!
Arcane rituals, medieval devil worship, black blood spilling forth, screams from the abyss both nameless and numerous...CULTES DES GHOULES unleash their second full-length spell, Henbane. Five years on from their classic debut album, Haxan, the mysterious Polish cult take the sulphurous, swirling gnarliness they've plied on their splits in the interim - and particularly on the preceding Spectres Over Transylvania MLP - and drag it deeper into the eldritch depths. Both more compositionally advanced and more primitive than all previous, vocals ranging throats both ghoulish and diseased, and still with the most overpowering, bass-driven sound around: CULTES DES GHOULES make their grandest, most garish statement yet with the epic Henbane. Listening to this just once, you'll be damned for all eternity...
Reissue of DEATH SS's legendary debut album, One of the most cult names in international heavy metal!
Italy's DEATH SS have influenced thousands over the past three decades in their long, twisted history, equally influencing the nascent speed metal and black metal scenes with their trademark ghoulish and theatrical presentation.
Formed in 1977, the initial lineup DEATH SS would feature four "characters": The Death, The Mummy, The Werewolf, and of course The Vampire, who was frontman Steve Sylvester (and who gave the band their "SS" appellation). Guided by the hand of Sylvester, after a period of intense composition, DEATH SS would emerge in the early '80s with a handful of demos and the Evil Metal EP in 1983. Although that EP's title served as a perfect summation of the band's eerie, horror-laden sound, it was the band's debut album, ...In Death of Steve Sylvester, where DEATH SS would truly begin to cement their cult status.
A special new covers collection of thrash classics from one of the US’s longest running Death Metal Bands. Covers of Whiplash, Blessed Death, Sacrifice, Razor, Bulldozer, Cyclone, Rigor Mortis, Voivod, Artillery, Darkness & more!
3rd album of Epic Black Ambient from this Finnish band!
explores the most mystical, folkloric realms between the shadows of black metal and pure ambient music. Some might brand his approach as "dungeon synth," but such a revisionist appelation sells short not only the man's decades-deep investment in these realms, but more so that DRUADAN FOREST thus far have safely eluded simple genre categorization: although most of the themes/textures stay consistent - fantasy, wonder, darkness, heroism, general grandiosity - no two recordings during Mk II of the band sound exactly the same.
Highly anticipated fourth album of Epic Black Ambient from this Finnish band. special silkscreened jewel case with blue disc!
From their demos in the late '90s to the fever of work from 2016 onward, this Finnish entity has created a vast and magickal world like no other. Naturally, it should come as no surprise given that mainman V-Khaoz is an incredibly prolific veteran of the black metal underground during the past 25 years, and concurrently numbers the likes of VARGRAV, EMBRYONIC SLUMBER, and GRIEVE among his endeavors. With DRUADAN FOREST, however, the emphasis has always been on atmosphere and its transportative qualities. Whether the medium is ominous, titanic-gait black metal, cosmic ambient, pure dungeon synth, or some symbiosis of those, it matters not: the story - and the voyage - from this realm to another is paramount.
Such is again the case with Portals, as elegantly simple of a title as there is to be found. Here, DRUADAN FOREST dons a dazzling robe of interstellar ambient glittering with jewels of a most distant hue. No words be spoken, no guitars need strummed; the glacial float through galaxies is the focus here. For those who argue that "nothing happens" in ambient music are perhaps overlooking the form's most crucial construct: the FREEDOM for nothing to literally happen, to go where you want and how you want - and to have NOTHING be in the way. V-Khaoz keenly understands this, and with Portals indeed opens them up to dreamers and stargazers and all lost souls who might be looking for their dungeon in space. Or, perhaps the album's component song titles spell out the path: "Ethereal Eternity Reflects the Images of Vast Eerie Pasts," "In Between Transcendence and True Sleep," and "The Infinite Forest of Galaxies" during just the first half...
Highly anticipated third album of Stenchy US Doom Detah Metal!
DRUID LORD return with Relics of the Dead . Wisely sticking to the same formula as its celebrated predecessor - lurching-tank riffs, lurking-dread atmosphere, completely skull-crushing production - here do DRUID LORD render their third album a more concise counterpart that, somehow, also finds them at their doomiest. The leads still linger like funeral fog, the sense of space even wider (and eerier) than before, and the slo-mo riffs surprisingly catchy, but the eight-song/46-minute runtime makes the cinematic effect feel more compact. Of course, it's DRUID LORD and there's no compromise in their titanic doom-death, but the spellbinding acoustic interlude "Nightside Conjuring" chills to the fucking bone while the outro "Ethereal Decay" is likewise aptly titled - small, thoroughly thought-through developments from a band continually at the height of their powers.
If Grotesque Offerings was a mini-classic in the making, harkening the arrival of the new doom-death lords, then Relics of the Dead is DRUID LORD's grand coronation!

American death metal cult EMBALMER returns with their long-awaited second album.
Long awaited debut album of Peruvian Death Metal!
Inspired by the old Metal of Death of a golden era when men ruled with powerful riffs, crushing drums, and assassin guitar solos alongside agonizing and obscure vocalizations, EVIL DAMN bring back the old pestilence of true DEATH METAL from the depths of the underground, giving form to cruel and chaotic chants of desolation and misfortune that frame lyrics inspired by the old death cult and the Lovecraftian pantheon of atrocity!
Hailing from Lima, Peru, EVIL DAMN was formed in the year 2004 when veteran musicians like Mario Romanet (Psicorragia), Ordep and Zemog (Disinter), and Neyra and Satyricon (GOAT SEMEN) decided to give shape to this abomination. A few months later, they released their hailed Through Black Abysses demo, which made a big impact in their national scene. As years passed, in 2008, EVIL DAMN released a split CD with Japan's Abigail and, more years later, in 2014, a well-received 7" EP, Black Effigy
